Take the M2 or M4 to reach the M7 Motorway and head south towards Campbelltown. Take the Elizabeth Drive exit off the M7 onto Wallgrove Road. Head north along Wallgrove Road (2.6km) until you reach the REC Specialist Equine Centre on the left. The driveway is just before the roundabout to the Sydney International Equestrian Centre (Saxony Road). Please note: If you are coming from the North your Google or Apple maps will likely tell you to take the Horsley Drive exit from the M7. Once you arrive in the horse unloading/loading area, one of our team will meet you to help you unload and show you where to go.
Our loading/unloading facilities can safely accommodate all types of horse transport from small rear loading floats to side loading semi-trailers.
-
Unfortunately, we do not have room for float parking overnight. If your horse is staying for a day procedure only, you may leave your float here while you wait. Our stablehands will direct you where to park so that your float is out of the way of other arriving floats and trucks.
-
Rugs/Blankets: We provide stable rugs for nighttime during the cooler months however if preferred you may bring your own for your horse’s individual needs. We ask that if you are leaving rugs for your horse, please label with your horses name.
Feed: We supply basic feed (lucerne hay, chaff and a small range of non-heating hard feeds). If your horse has specific dietary requirements, we are more than happy for you to bring you own. You may discuss the requirements with our veterinarians/staff on arrival and even better if the instructions for your horse can be written down.
Should your horse have any other specific requirements please discuss this with us at the time of booking/arrival. We will endeavour to accommodate your horses’ individual needs where possible.
Clients may visit their horse during their hospital stay, however we ask that you discuss this with the veterinarian taking care of your horse first.
Visiting hours are generally 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Weekend visiting hours are on a case-by-case basis.
Communication: During your horses stay at REC Specialist Equine Centre the veterinarian assigned to your horse’s care will communicate with you and provide you with regular updates.
Rest assured your horse is under expert care with a dedicated team of compassionate professionals.
